A midrange [Shanks] deck that builds a steady advantage by continuously playing strong Characters. With new cards, the overall performance of Characters in the deck has improved, allowing for an even more robust battle force. Combine that with the defensive Leader effect and press the attack with each and every card.

Early Game
"OP09-001 Shanks" is a Leader that lets you give −1000 power to one of your opponent's attackers once per turn, allowing you to save the Counter cards in your hand.
The basic strategy is to use your available DON!! cards to play powerful Characters every turn, and rely on your Leader and cards in your hand for defense.
To ensure you have a Character that matches the number of DON!! cards you have each turn, start by playing cards like "OP09-002 Uta" and "PRB02-003 Lucky.Roux" to assemble a hand with well-balanced costs.
Mid Game
In the mid-game, play out the strongest Characters you have that match your increasing number of DON!! cards.
Aim to lower the power of the Characters your opponent plays using "OP09-013 Yasopp" and "PRB02-002 Trafalgar Law", and then K.O. them in battle.
On your next turn, you can then use "OP09-009 Benn.Beckman" or "OP08-118 Silvers Rayleigh" in order to safely dispose of your opponent's active Characters as well.
End Game
By playing a high-cost [Shanks] every turn while leaving the defense to your Leader effect, you can overwhelm your opponent with sheer strength.
"ST23-002 Shanks" can be played for 6 cost if your opponent has played a Character with 8000 base power or more! This is especially effective against opponents who aim to quickly play out big Characters.
Use the Leader power-up from "ST23-002 Shanks" to counterattack and punish your opponent for being too hasty.
