{Baroque Works} is back in Black. This deck features many {Baroque Works} Characters who activate their effects when Characters with a cost of 0 or with a cost of 8 or more are on the field. Though you will be unable to K.O. your opponent's Characters, the battle is won through the Leader's ability to drain your opponent's Characters' costs down to 0, activating your allies' effects.

Deck Breakdown

"OP14-079 Crocodile" cannot K.O. your opponent's Characters with its own effect, but can K.O. your allies to add cards to your trash, while also reducing 1 of your opponent's Characters' cost by 10 with its Leader effect.
To make the most of your trash, focus on playing cards that increase the amount of trash you have from the early part of the game. "OP14-087 Miss.Valentine(Mikita)" and "OP14-083 Ms. Wednesday" are especially effective.
Increase your trash while managing your hand through their effects, then use the Leader's effect to K.O. them and boost your trash even further!

Then play the Characters gathered in your trash. "OP14-084 Ms. All Sunday" has an effect that can play up to 1 {Baroque Works} type Character card with a cost of 4 or less and up to 1 {Baroque Works} type Character card with a cost of 1 from your trash.
One of the most powerful cards to play is "OP14-091 Mr.2.Bon.Kurei(Bentham)". K.O. this card with the Leader's effect and replace it with "OP14-090 Mr.1(Daz.Bonez)".
On play, [Mr.1(Daz.Bonez)] can rest a Character that has had its cost reduced to 0 by your Leader's effect and attack it immediately. Get ahead of your opponent with Character deployment and attack their Characters!

You have several options for which Character with a cost of 1 to play using "OP14-084 Ms. All Sunday"'s effect.
If you do not yet have the cards you need, play "OP14-087 Miss.Valentine(Mikita)" to find them.
If you want to be sure you can defeat an opponent's Character in battle, play "OP14-083 Ms. Wednesday" to reduce their power.

Combine your Leader's effect with "OP14-120 Crocodile" to thwart a powerful attack from your opponent! With its powerful on play effect, "OP14-120 Crocodile" can prevent an opponent's Character with a cost of 9 or less from attacking.
It can also be played again with its [On K.O.] effect by trashing 1 card from your hand. When used in conjunction with the Leader's effect, you can take full advantage of this card's [On Play] effect.
Additionally, playing multiple Crocodile cards can be a very potent move. K.O. one "OP14-120 Crocodile" card with your Leader's effect, then play "OP14-120 Crocodile" again to halt two of your opponent's Characters.

As well as having [Counter], "OP14-096 Ground Death" can negate the effect of up to 1 of your opponent's Characters with a cost of 5 or less with its [Main] effect.
Combined with your Leader's effect reducing their cost, you will be able to nullify even big threats.
Use "OP14-096 Ground Death" against your opponent's Characters with [Blocker], negating the effect to secure your victory!
