A Message from the ONE PIECE CARD GAME Development Team
To all of our passionate players and fans,
This is an update from the ONE PIECE CARD GAME Development Team.
First of all, a big thank you from all of us for playing the ONE PIECE CARD GAME.
In today's update, we would like to share information about the event regulations for “ONE PIECE CARD GAME” from the 2026-2027 season.
Regarding Championship 26-27
Next season, the tournament will held in Season 1 and Season 2.
Players that advance from the [Regional Preliminary] will play in the Regional Finals.
Top finishers from each Regional Finals will move on to the Asia Final, and then proceed to the World Final.
For this year, GAO is scheduled to be held as Season 1.
To make it easier for many players to participate, the tournament will start with Store Qualifiers, followed by Store Finals, and then advance to the Regional Finals.
We will also hold 3-on-3 qualifying tournaments that award qualification spots for the Season 1 Regional Finals.
All tournaments associated to Championship 25-26 will follow the Standard Regulation.
To reiterate, the Standard Regulation is a system that determines eligible cards based on the block icon shown at the bottom right of each card.
In the upcoming season’s Standard Regulation, cards with block icon ② or above are allowed.
Regarding “Extra Regulation” Events
We will also be hosting a new championship under the Extra Regulation.
This championship is called the Extra Championship.
The Extra Championship will follow the Extra Regulation, which allows all cards issued to date, with the exception of select prohibited cards.
The event schedule is as follows.
Two seasonal tournaments will be held from May to July and from October to December, and an Asina Final of the Extra Championship will be held in January.
There will be no store qualifier for the Extra Championship. Bandai TCG+ invites players to apply for a lottery-based individual tournament.
Top-performing players will earn the right to participate in the Asina Final of the Extra Championship.
We are preparing special rewards for top finishers that differ from those of the Standard Regulation Championship, so please stay tuned for further details.
About Store Events
Events held at stores across various regions will feature different event types for the Standard Regulation and the Extra Regulation.
Standard Regulation
As in the past, we will continue to hold events such as Casual Meetups, Standard Battles, and Flagship Battles.
This time, we are also revealing the winner card for the Flagship Battles starting in April.

Extra Regulation
We are excited to announce the Extra Grand Battle!
This will be a full-scale competitive event, similar to the Flagship Battle, and like other events, players can apply to participate via Bandai TCG+.
Of course, if the number of applicants exceeds the event capacity, participants will be selected by lottery.
For the Extra Grand Battle, we will prepare special rewards for top finishers, similar to those of the Flagship Battle.
These rewards can only be obtained through the Extra Grand Battle, so we encourage everyone to take part.

Regarding Banned Cards
Starting April 1, 2026, the lists of banned cards, banned card pairs, and restricted cards will be unified for both the Standard Regulation and the Extra Regulation.
As a result, any cards that are banned under the Standard Regulation will also be banned under the Extra Regulation.
In addition, as this change affects how the Extra Regulation is played, we would like to introduce the block icon ① cards that will be unbanned starting April 1, 2026:
These cards will be unbanned as of April 1, 2026, and will be legal for use in the Extra Regulation.
Going forward, We will assess the need for bans or limitations on cards that have moved outside the Standard Regulation, such as block icon ① cards, while considering the Extra Regulation environment.
In the meantime, we hope you continue to enjoy playing the ONE PIECE CARD GAME.
