RECOMMENDED DECKS(Black/Yellow) Gecko Moria
Concept
Introducing [Gecko Moria] in Black/Yellow. You will use your [Trigger] to revive Characters. Use Leader and Character effects to try and activate as many Life card recovery [Trigger] effects as possible. You can also use the Leader's effect to K.O. your own Characters, so you can power up those Characters further when reviving them. The deck perfectly synergizes with {Thriller Bark Pirates} with [On K.O.] effects.

Deck Breakdown
Early Game
The "OP14-080 Gecko Moria" deck uses a lot of [Trigger] effects that let you play Characters from the trash. At the start of the game, gather the Characters you want to play with [Trigger] in your Trash.
"OP14-097 Hurry Up and Make Me the Pirate King!" allows you to add cards of the {Thriller Bark Pirates} type to your hand, while other cards seen by the effect are placed in your trash.
Add powerful cards to your hand and place the Characters you want to revive with [Trigger] in the trash.
When playing, there may be times that you don't draw any cards early in the game that will help you fill your trash. When this happens, use "OP14-080 [Gecko Moria"'s [When Attacking].
By paying [Gecko Moria]'s [When Attacking] cost, you can place the Characters you want to play with your [Trigger] in your trash, while also recovering Life cards.
Make sure to get the Characters you want in your trash early-game to be in a good position to activate [Trigger].
Mid Game
Characters gathered in your trash aren't just used for [Trigger] but also serve other purposes. "PRB02-013 Gecko Moria" can bring out a Character from the trash with a cost of 4 or less and rest it [On Play].
This effect works especially well with "OP14-110 Dr. Hogback". Its [On K.O.] effect allows you to play up to 1 {Thriller Bark Pirates} Character with a cost of 4 or less other than [Dr. Hogback] from the trash, and so you don't have to fear your opponent's attack even if you play [Dr. Hogback] rested. Furthermore, even if it is K.O.'d with the Leader's effect, the number of Characters on your side of the field won't be reduced, making this an especially good combination.
"OP14-111 Perona" has an [On Play]/[On K.O.] effect that can make up to 1 of your opponent's Characters with a cost of 6 or less unable to attack.
If your opponent has played multiple powerful Characters, playing "OP14-111 Perona" and immediately knocking her out with your Leader's [Activate: Main] effect is one available strategy.
Combine the [On Play] and [On K.O.] effects to render 2 of your opponent's Characters unable to attack.
End Game
Play out "OP14-104 Gecko Moria". [On Play], "OP14-104 Gecko Moria" allows you to select up to 1 {Thriller Bark Pirates} type Character with a cost of 4 or less from your trash and play it or add it to the top of your Life cards face-up. If you have enough Life cards and want to attack your opponent, you can play a Character from your Trash. If you are low on Life cards and want to shore up your defenses, you can take a Character with a [Trigger] from your trash and add it to your Life cards. Assess the situation and make use of the [On Play] effect accordingly.
"OP14-104 Gecko Moria" is also extremely versatile with its [Trigger]. Using its [Trigger], you can play a Character with a cost of 4 or less from your trash, meaning you can pull out a Character with [Blocker] to defend against your opponent's attacks.
A Character that is well suited for this kind of play is "EB03-045 Perona". The ability to turn the tide through the use of [Trigger] effects is one of the highlights of this deck.
